2026年，基础教学部正式开启“行走· 讲述· 传承”—— Travel Far, Tell China’s story, Pass On the Spirit of China 讲好中国故事活动。活动以“踏迹文化阵地，厚植家国情怀，讲好中国故事”为主题，面向全校学生常态化开展研学实践活动。旨在依托研学之旅，引导学生亲身领略祖国壮美山河、感悟中华深厚文脉，着力打造沉浸式文化浸润与家国情怀育人实践课堂；同时鼓励学生以英语为载体，向世界讲好真实立体的中国故事，赓续传承中华民族精神血脉。
大家探访文博场馆、分享历史文化、介绍家乡风貌，用英语讲述鲜活生动的中国故事，在行走体验与对外表达中厚植民族底气、提升文化自信。本期推文分享的是电气25-5班郭锦城同学的生态文化建设基地之旅。他带领我们走进阜新市彰武县，亲身感受彰武治沙的艰辛历程、不朽担当与奋斗精神。
Hi everyone! I’m Jincheng Guo from Electrical Engineering Class 25-5. Inspired by the school activity “Walk, Tell, Inherit”, and with the encouragement of my English teacher Ms. Jin, I went on a meaningful trip to Zhangwu. Today, I’m thrilled to share this special experience with you in English, taking you to feel the great spirit of desert control and the touching story of Zhangwu’s green miracle. Let’s feel the power of persistence and inheritance together!
Part 1 The Desert of the Past
昔日荒漠
彰武——这座位于科尔沁沙地南缘的东北小城，用七十余载的坚守与拼搏，书写了生态奇迹，让我读懂了中国生态文明建设的坚守与智慧。
Zhangwu——the small northeastern city on the southern edge of the Horqin Sandy Land has, with more than 70 years of perseverance and striving, written an ecological miracle. I have truly understood the perseverance and wisdom behind China’s ecological civilization construction.
Part 2 The Road to Green
治沙之路
彰武的沙化土地占比一度曾达96%，沙尘一小时便可直抵沈阳，沙尘威胁着辽宁中部城市群的生态安全。走进彰武治沙纪念馆，一张张老照片里，黄沙堵门、寸草不生的景象触目惊心。如今2.7万亩半流动沙地化作青翠屏障，柳河沿岸碧波荡漾。从1952年新中国第一个防沙治沙科研机构在此成立，一代又一代治沙人用汗水浇灌绿色，让这片土地实现了森林覆盖率从2.9%到30%以上的跨越，扬沙天数从200多天降至个位数。
The desertified land in Zhangwu once accounted for 96% of the total area. Sandstorms could reach Shenyang in just one hour, threatening the ecological security of the urban agglomeration in central Liaoning. Stepping into the Zhangwu Sand Control Memorial Hall, the shocking scenes in old photos—sand blocking the doors and not a single blade of grass growing—strike the eye. Yet now, 27,000 mu of semi-mobile sandy land has turned into a green barrier and the banks of the Liuhe River are rippling with clear blue waves. Since the founding of New China’s first scientific research institution for sand prevention and control here in 1952, generations of sand control workers have watered the green with their sweat. They have made the forest coverage rate of this land jump from 2.9% to more than 30%, and the number of sand-dust days drop from over 200 to a single digit.
Part 3 A Green Miracle
绿色奇迹
行走在彰武的沙土地上，最动人的是那些平凡而伟大的治沙身影。在章古台镇的植树现场，村民们种下樟子松苗后，会深一脚浅一脚地踩实沙土，他们说“沙子踩实了，树根才能扎得更牢”，这简单的话语里，是最朴素的治沙智慧。无论是章古台镇的村民们还是让樟子松成功“北树南移”的科研工作者们，这些治沙人，用坚守诠释着“久久为功”的中国精神。
Walking on the sandy land of Zhangwu, the most touching sight is the ordinary yet great figures of sand control workers. At the tree-planting site in Zhanggutai Town, after planting Scotch pine seedlings, the villagers will trample the sand firmly with deep and shallow steps. They say, “Only when the sand is trodden firm can the tree roots take hold more tightly.” In this simple sentence lies the most down-to-earth wisdom of sand control. No matter the villagers from the Zhanggutai Town or the scientific researchers who have successfully realized the "north tree south transplantation" of Scotch pine, these sand control workers interpret the Chinese spirit of "persevering for long-term success" with their persistence.
Part 4 The Spirit of Zhangwu
治沙精神
彰武的治沙之路是一条生态与经济双赢的发展之路，是新时代中国发展理念的生动实践。行走在彰武的花生牧草复合种植示范田，冬黑麦与花生轮作；大冷镇的沙土地变成水稻田，亩产达600公斤，柳河从昔日沙地成了“鱼米乡”；大德镇的林下中药种植基地，让生态效益转化为经济效益。还有光伏复合治沙项目、万亩苗木基地。这让我深刻体会到，中国的生态文明建设，从来不是单一的治沙植绿，而是兼顾生态与民生，让绿水青山真正成为金山银山。
The road of sand control in Zhangwu is a development path of win-win ecological and economic benefits, which is a vivid practice of China’s development concept in the new era. Walking in the demonstration field of intercropping peanut and forage in Zhangwu, you can see the crop rotation of winter rye and peanut. The sandy land in Daleng Town has been turned into paddy fields with a yield of 600 kilograms per mu. The Liuhe River has changed from the former sandy land to a "land of fish and rice". The under-forest traditional Chinese medicine planting base in Dade Town transforms ecological benefits into economic benefits.There are also photovoltaic composite sand control projects and ten-thousand-mu seedling bases.This makes me deeply realize that China’s ecological civilization construction is never a single act of sand control and afforestation, but a balance between ecology and people’s livelihood, truly turning lucid waters and lush mountains into invaluable assets.

走出课堂，走进彰武，这场行走之旅让我亲身触摸到中国生态发展的脉搏。彰武的每一棵樟子松，都是治沙人坚守的象征；每一片绿洲，都是中国智慧的见证。作为新时代的青年，我们生在绿水青山的时代，更应将这份治沙精神融入日常，将家国情怀化作行动力量，用自己的方式守护祖国的山河，讲述中国的生态故事。
Stepping out of the classroom and into Zhangwu, this walking journey has let me touch the pulse of China’s ecological development with my own hands. Every Scotch pine in Zhangwu is a symbol of the perseverance of sand control workers; every oasis is a witness to Chinese wisdom. As young people in the new era, we are born in an era of lucid waters and lush mountains. We should integrate this spirit of sand control into our daily lives, turn our patriotism into practical power, protect the mountains and rivers of the motherland in our own way, and tell the ecological stories of China.
