大家用英语讲述中国故事——分享历史与文化、探访博物馆、介绍家乡风貌，在行走与表达中厚植民族自豪感、增强文化自信。本期推文分享的是电子信息研究生25-3班高鹏同学的红色纪念馆之旅。她带领我们走进位于辽宁锦州的配水池战斗遗址，回望配水池浴血鏖战，更懂岁月静好来之不易，传承攻坚无畏的英雄精神勇担时代使命。
Hello everyone. I'm Gao Peng, a postgraduate from Class 25-3, Electronic Information, taught by Teacher Li. I accidentally came across the Peishuichi Battle Site in Jinzhou, Liaoning. Though it is little known, countless heroes who died for our peaceful life lie here. She led us to the Site of the Water Trench Battle in Jinzhou, Liaoning. Looking back on the fierce bloody combat here, we cherish the peaceful present all the more. We shall carry forward the fearless heroic spirit of assault and shoulder our missions of the times.
Part 1The History of the Battle
战斗遗址
配水池之战，就是锦州外围的关键战斗之一。配水池是1937年日本人修建的一个供水设施，地势较高，又靠近公路，成为辽沈战役时国民党守军的屏障。配水池战斗的胜利，为东北野战军攻打锦州打开了城北的门户，为攻锦战斗的胜利创造了有利条件。
The Battle of Peishuichi was one of the key combats on the outskirts of Jinzhou. Built by the Japanese in 1937 as a water supply facility, Peishuichi stood on high ground close to highways, serving as a stronghold for the Kuomintang defenders during the Liaoshen Campaign. The victory here opened the northern gateway for the Northeast Field Army to march on Jinzhou, laying a solid foundation for the overall success of the Jinzhou campaign.
Part 2 Reflecting on the War Years
追忆烽火，心生感悟
踏入纪念馆，我沿着历史长廊缓缓前行。展厅里陈列着老旧照片、斑驳武器、磨破的军装与手写书信。一步步向前走去，我仿佛穿越回数十年前的峥嵘岁月，耳畔似有战火轰鸣，眼前仿佛浮现战士们奔走的身影。整座肃穆的场馆，将当年激烈的战役场景一一重现。我没有匆匆浏览，而是驻足凝视每一件展品，这场行走，更是一次向革命先烈致敬的朝圣之旅。
Stepping into the memorial hall, I began my walk along the historical corridors. Old photographs, rusted weapons, worn military uniforms and handwritten letters are displayed in every exhibition area. As I paced slowly forward, every step brought me closer to the extraordinary years decades ago. I could almost feel the smoke of war and hear the urgent footsteps of soldiers. The quiet hall seemed to turn into a vivid scene of the fierce campaign. I did not hurry past the exhibits, but stopped again and again to look carefully at every detail, for this walk was a pilgrimage to the heroes who fought for our country.
Part 3 Recounting History and Feelings
铭记历史，诉说心声
穿行在历史印记之中，内心满是感慨。配水池战役是解放战争中至关重要的一战，无数革命先烈为了民族独立、人民幸福，奉献了青春乃至生命。面对凶悍的敌人与艰苦的环境，他们从未退缩、毫不畏惧。最令人动容的，是他们坚定不移的理想信念与无私的奉献精神。他们不为名利，只为给后辈换来安稳美好的生活。站在这些历史遗物前，我真切地明白，如今的和平生活来之不易，是无数英雄用热血与生命换来的。这也是此次行走中，我收获最深的感悟。
Walking through the historical scenes, sincere feelings welled up inside me. The Battle of Peishuichi was a crucial battle in the liberation of China. Countless revolutionary martyrs devoted their youth and even lives to the pursuit of national independence and people’s happiness. They faced fierce enemies and harsh conditions without fear or hesitation. What moved me most was their firm belief and selfless dedication. They fought not for personal fame or gain, but for a peaceful and bright future for later generations. Standing among these historical traces, I truly realized that the peaceful life we enjoy today never comes easily. It is built on the blood and lives of countless heroes. This is the most precious insight I gained from this trip.
Part 4 Inheriting the Noble Spirit
传承红色精神
读懂历史、心生感触之后，我选择将内心所想如实表达。历史不应被尘封，先烈精神也不该随着时光慢慢淡去。如今不少年轻人忙于日常，很少主动了解革命历史。因此，我们需要说出所见所感，分享所思所悟。记录下这段经历与心声，不仅是抒发内心情绪，更能让更多人知晓这段伟大历史，铭记这些可敬的先烈。
The last and most important part is to carry forward the noble spirit. Remembering history is not to indulge in the past, but to draw strength for the present and the future. The fearless spirit of the revolutionary martyrs, their sense of responsibility and loyalty to the motherland are the valuable spiritual wealth of our nation. As young people living in the new era, we have the duty to inherit and promote this spirit. In daily study and work, we should be brave enough to overcome difficulties, keep a firm faith, and strive to live up to the expectations of the predecessors.
Part 5 March Forward with Aspiration
坚守初心前行
沿着小路走向出口时，我看到了跳着广场舞的老年人，英雄们，请你们也听一听这慷慨昂扬的歌声，是你们让新时代的人老有所依；我看到了操场上奔跑的青少年，英雄们，请你们也看一看这矫健的身姿，是你们让新时代的人勇敢的追逐梦想；我还看到了许多襁褓中被哄着的婴孩们，英雄们，请你们也哄一哄这磨人的孩子，是你们让新时代的他们未来充满了希望！英雄们，请放心，我们会继续行走在铭记历史的道路上，珍惜当下的和平生活，让革命精神薪火相传、永放光芒。
As we walked along the path toward the exit, I spotted elderly folks dancing square dance. Dear heroes, listen to their uplifting songs. Thanks to you, seniors in the new era enjoy secure twilight years.I saw youngsters dashing across the playground. Dear heroes, behold their vigorous figures. Thanks to you, young people can bravely pursue their dreams.I also caught sight of infants being cradled in arms. Dear heroes, coo at these lively babies. Thanks to you, their futures in the new era are brimming with hope.Rest assured, heroes. We will always remember history, cherish today’s peaceful life, and pass down the revolutionary spirit from generation to generation, letting it shine forever.
