2026年,基础教学部正式开启“行走·讲述·传承”——Travel Far, Tell China's Story, Pass On the Spirit of China讲好中国故事活动。

Hello everyone! I'm Jingwei Wang from Telecommunications Postgraduate Class 25-4. Inspired by the school activity “Walk, Tell, Inherit”, and with the encouragement of my English teacher Ms. Li, I embarked on a meaningful trip to Benxi. It's my great pleasure to share this special experience with you in English today. I will take you to explore traces of history and learn about my Party history publicity work. Let's feel the power of perseverance and inheritance together.

On the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, while many people flocked to crowded tourist attractions, I chose to step into Benxi Museum, dedicating my time outside the classroom to the cultural imprints left on this land over hundreds of millions of years. For a first-year graduate student like me, this journey was far more than a simple outing—it was a transformative experience that led me "from textbooks to the earth, and from knowledge to spirit."

Part 1 The Traces of History

It is not just a relic of ancient life, but also a witness to climate change and ecological evolution. As young students in the new era, we study the past not only to understand history, but also to grasp the relationship between humans and nature, so as to protect our present environment and civilization. This is exactly the sense of responsibility and reflection that we gain from these field trips.

Every specimen in the museum is not just an isolated exhibit, but a bridge connecting the past, the present, and the future. They show us that the thread of civilization has never been broken. The weight of history and the original heart of scientific research lie in drawing strength from these relics, bringing the sleeping past back to life.

I hope to pass on this reverence for civilization and passion for scientific research to more peers around me.

Part 2 Party History Lecture

I told stories about the struggles of revolutionary ancestors and the happy life we enjoy today. Watching the children listen carefully, I deeply realized that cultural inheritance is not just passive learning, but a relay passed down from one generation to the next.

Only when we turn what we have seen and learned into action can we keep the red heritage alive forever. Meanwhile, I have come to understand the great responsibility on young people's shoulders through voluntary work.

This trip to Benxi Museum and the campus volunteer activity are vivid practices for me, as a young person of the new era, to perceive culture and uphold my original aspiration. The museum, with hundreds of millions of years old paleontological fossils as evidence,

brings ancient life and ecological changes within reach. It connects the past, present and future through specimens and remains, arousing reverence for civilization and passion for scientific research. The Party history lecture, with red stories as a bridge, conveys the century-long history to children, continuing the spiritual blood through listening and passing on, and making cultural inheritance a relay from generation to generation. Together, they illustrate the growth cycle of "Walking—Perceiving—Expressing—Spreading", demonstrating the responsibility of young students who step out of the classroom, root themselves in the earth and convey patriotism.
