As a sophomore in college,I spent my meaningful winter vacation travelling to shaanxi,a distinctive city in northeast China.This journey not only helped me relax from heavy academic pressure but also broadened my horizons and enriched my life experience.As travelling around China has become a popular trend,it is a great opportunity to promote the spectacular landscapes of our country.I would like to share my travel plog here.

Hello everyone, I'm Cao Yaning from Class 25-2 of Electrical Engineering. This time, my parents and I drove to Shaanxi.

夜幕下，十二根文化柱华光流转，与尽头的“贞观之治”主题雕塑交相辉映。绚烂的灯火不仅点亮了夜色，更唤醒了千年前盛唐长安的繁华气象，让人仿佛穿越时空，置身于那个诗酒风流的辉煌年代。
Under the night sky, the twelve cultural pillars glow with shifting lights, complementing the “Zhenguan Reign” themed sculpture at the end. The brilliant illuminations not only light up the night but also evoke the prosperity of Chang’an during the heyday of the Tang Dynasty, making people feel as if they have traveled through time to that glorious era of poetry and romance.

Guardian of the Ancient Capital
这座历经千年的唐代佛塔，是玄奘法师为存放佛经而主持修建。古朴的砖身与层层挑檐，承载着丝路的传奇与盛唐的气象，静静矗立在西安城中，见证着岁月流转与朝代更迭。
This thousand-year-old Tang Dynasty pagoda was built under the supervision of the monk Xuanzang to house Buddhist scriptures. Its ancient brick body and layered eaves carry the legends of the Silk Road and the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty, standing silently in Xi’an and witnessing the passage of time and the rise and fall of dynasties.
九华山冰瀑：秦岭深冬的冰雪史诗
Jiuhua Mountain Icefall: An Epic of Ice and Snow in the Deep Winter of Qinling
当冬日的寒风掠过秦岭，九华山的潭峪冰瀑便化作一幅凝固的自然画卷。昔日奔涌的溪流，在岩壁间凝结成层层叠叠的冰幔与万千垂落的冰棱，在澄澈的蓝天下闪烁着冷冽的光。这里是秦岭深处的冰雪秘境，每一道冰纹都镌刻着时光的痕迹，每一缕寒气都诉说着山野的寂静。徒步至此，仿佛闯入了一个被施了魔法的冬日王国，让人在震撼中读懂自然的磅礴与温柔。
As the cold winter wind sweeps across the Qinling Mountains, the Tanyu Icefall on Jiuhua Mountain transforms into a frozen natural scroll. The once rushing streams condense between the rock faces into layers of ice curtains and thousands of hanging icicles, glinting with a cold light under the clear blue sky. This is a secret realm of ice and snow deep in the Qinling, where every ice pattern bears the mark of time, and every breath of chill speaks of the mountain’s silence. Hiking here feels like stepping into a winter kingdom enchanted by magic, allowing one to understand the grandeur and tenderness of nature in awe.
太白山：秦岭主峰的冰雪秘境
Mount Taibai: A Snowy Secret Realm of the Qinling Main Peak
作为秦岭的主峰，太白山在冬日里尽显雄奇与纯净。皑皑白雪覆盖着山峦，云雾在峰林间流转，冰挂与雾凇勾勒出仙境般的轮廓。这里是“一日历四季”的神奇之地，也是华夏文明中极具分量的自然坐标。
As the main peak of the Qinling Mountains, Mount Taibai reveals its grandeur and purity in winter. The mountains are covered in white snow, clouds drift between the peaks, and ice formations and rime ice outline a fairyland-like silhouette. It is a magical place where "four seasons can be experienced in a single day" and a significant natural landmark in Chinese civilization.
味风华：一碗烟火，百味人间
The Charm of Shaanxi Cuisine: A Bowl of Warmth, A World of Flavors
陕西美食藏着千年古都的烟火与豪情。羊肉泡馍作为陕菜经典，馍香筋道、肉汤醇厚，慢掰细煮间尽是西北的温润与实在；毛血旺麻辣鲜香、食材丰富，滚烫入味，尽显川陕交融的热烈风味。一温一烈，一醇一辣，勾勒出三秦大地多样又迷人的饮食风情。
Shaanxi cuisine embodies the warmth and heroism of an ancient capital. As a classic dish, Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup features fragrant, chewy bread and rich, mellow soup, embodying the simplicity and warmth of the Northwest. Maoxuewang, a spicy and numbing delicacy with varied ingredients, shows the vibrant fusion of Sichuan and Shaanxi flavors. One gentle, one bold; one mellow, one spicy—together they paint the diverse and charming food culture of the Sanqin land.
告别三秦大地，心中仍回荡着千年长安的余韵。黄土高原的苍茫、秦岭雪山的纯净、古都街巷的烟火，都化作此行最珍贵的记忆。这片土地既有历史的厚重，又有生活的温情，一砖一瓦皆故事，一汤一饭皆深情。陕西之行，始于风景，陷于文化，终于温暖。愿岁月悠长，我们再赴长安之约。
Farewell to the land of Sanqin, yet the charm of the thousand-year-old Chang’an still lingers in my heart. The vastness of the Loess Plateau, the purity of the Qinling snow mountains, and the warmth of the ancient city streets have all become the most precious memories of this trip. This land possesses both the profundity of history and the warmth of daily life—every brick and tile tells a story, every dish carries deep affection. My journey to Shaanxi began with scenery, fell in love with culture, and ended with warmth. May time be long and gentle, and may we meet again in Chang’an.
